Support for UZWay addons

Help for users installing addons and developers publishing addons for UZWay Browser.

Addon will not install

  1. Make sure UZWay Browser is installed and updated to version 1.0.0 or higher.
  2. Open the addon detail page and click Add to UZWay Browser again.
  3. Confirm the downloaded file ends with `.uzwaddon`.
  4. If the browser does not open the package, download it again and retry from the browser install dialog.
  5. If the issue continues, send the addon name, browser version, operating system, and a screenshot of the error.

Addon opens but does not work

  • Reload the addon page in UZWay Browser.
  • Check whether the addon needs a permission such as file input or local storage.
  • Try clearing only the addon data if the addon stores local settings.
  • Check the addon detail page for minimum browser version and compatibility notes.
  • Leave a review or contact support with the exact steps that fail.

Reviews and ratings

  • Use the Reviews tab on an addon page to leave feedback.
  • Choose a rating from 1 to 5 and describe what happened.
  • Reviews should be about the addon, not unrelated browser or account issues.
  • If you need private help, use the support details below instead of posting sensitive information.

Publishing help for developers

  • Confirm the package installs in UZWay Browser before publishing.
  • Make sure the manifest id is stable and unique.
  • Use a clear name, short summary, category, version, and author name.
  • Declare only permissions the addon actually uses.
  • Include support notes for data storage, file access, or external services.

Account access

Use the Sign in page to access your profile, saved addons, and publishing tools. If you cannot sign in, include your account email and the page where the problem happened when requesting help.

What to include in a support request

  • Addon name and addon page URL.
  • UZWay Browser version.
  • Operating system and device type.
  • What you clicked before the issue appeared.
  • Any visible error text or screenshot.
  • Whether the issue happens after reinstalling the addon.
